The high school season is winding down and Memorial Day ushers in the start of travel ball for many high school kids. I'm still relatively new to the site, so my question is...does travel ball get discussed here?

Discussions are limited to DBAT and teams that charge $50 or more for tryouts.

No need to travel, there are alot of great tournaments in the DFW area. With teams like Marshals, Mustangs, Giants, D-Bat, D-Jaxx, Wildcats, etc... Win these tournaments and you could make it to Farmington. jmho

That would be true if all those listed stayed here to play. However, most of them, along with many other independent teams travel to "showcase" events to get in front of the scouts. Depending on the age groups, there are not that many local tournaments, much less showcase events, that would keep these teams local (other than AABC). jmho

They do travel. However, son played with Marshals last year and we never left DFW area and played every team except for Jaxx and there where plenty of scouts at just about every game.
Although, traveling is fun and makes some memories.

So I'm thinking with gas prices the way they are... playing in Dallas sounds really good.
