"Suit for college baseball players," reminded me that I've been wondering...

On some h.s. teams, son's coaches required nice pants, shirt and tie for travel days. I liked that! Alas, not all of the coaches did that, so it didn't have long term impact on the kids.

Last year was JUCO and I know that when the kids traveled they just wore casual clothes.

This year is D1 and they get to fly to their away games. What a life! I was wondering if I might get a last minute plea for shopping $$ for nice travel wear.

Besides checking in with son before it's too late, I was just wondering what experiences your sons have had with travel attire expectations?

Our son had to wear sports coat, shirt, tie, nice trousers (no cargo pants), and shoes when they traveled by plane (not many plane trips, but a few). They took two trips to Hawaii and everybody, including coaches, wore Hawaiian print shirts and shorts (mostly cargo shorts).

On bus trips (primarily for conference games), the team wore their school sweats/jogging suits ... whatever they call them these days.

I really loved seeing the team when they were in their jackets etc. There is something about a baseball player's physique ... a fit baseball player's physique ... that wears clothes so well!!! Eek But of course I am talking about mature men, not young boys ...
