I am going to a field we have not been to this week-end and it just occurred to me others might be interested in a easy way to help find your way to a field you have not been to before.

Once you get the address look it up on Google and then switch over to "Google Earth". This will allow you to find the parking lots, etc. (Particularly helpful at some schools)

Another neat trick is to use the ruler function and you can get a pretty good idea on the distances to the fences other field dimentions.

I have used "Google Earth" for a few years, it can get to a much more detailed image that normal Google maps, Yahoo Maps (satellite image), and Mapquest (Aerial image). Also with Google Earth, back in the young youth baseball days, when we were going to fields that we were not familiar with, we could also tell if we needed to bring chairs and covers....
