Yea, I think somewhere along the line the "stars will align" just right for someone and it will happen.

Of the three, leading in the RBI column will be the most difficult stat to have control over. You can hit and you can hit for power and somewhat control that. But if no one is getting on in front of you, or someone else is doing a great job of "cleaning the table" before you get there, then you are just out of luck... With the DH rule and today's specialization in the line-up, it will be more difficult than in the days of yore.

Don't know if you saw it but MLB Channel did a piece tonight on this very question.

The reasons they cite for doubting anyone will pull it off again; Expansion (16 Teams per League now when there were just eight "in the day"), more hitters thus more competition, specialization in pitching (hitters seeing perhaps three different pitchers a game), the predisposition towards "walking" the guy in can beat you in critical situations AND SO FORTH...
