Ken Berry was named no brains for constantly running into walls.
You are right about Berry running in to walls. I think he was before Williams and May. I remeber no brains as Ralph Garr who had a ball hit his head and go out for a homer.
Saw Ralph Garr go 4-4 with 4 bunt singles at a Sox game when I was a kid.

Garr did not join the White Sox until 1976. He was part of the Southside Hitmen. Williams, Berry, and May were all gone by then. They were no neck, no brains, no thumb.
I stsnd corrected. What about Rick Reichart. He was a center fielder around then also.

Reichardt came to the Sox in 1971. Carlos May lost his thumb in 1969, so the no neck, no brains, no thumb outfield was together for the end of 1969 and 1970.
