I have not, however Nate ran one of the school showcases my son attended and he said he liked how it was run and Nate helped him out from a skills and recruiting discussion standpoint. He is one of the higher quality guys in the baseball recruiting spectrum in California. Don't know anything about the specific package.

Interested in hearing about this too. I have a friend whose kid has played on a Trosky team and he speaks highly of them. However somebody here (SluggerDad?) commented at some point that the showcase events were poorly run. What I have not seen here, I think, is much discussion of how much bang for the buck you get at Trosky events in terms of exposure.

Well, my son did attend one Trosky showcase. It was pretty early in our hunt for exposure, right after he did his first PG showcase.  I was probably comparing it to that.  But now that I've been through this whole deal,  I'd say in retrospect that although it  wasn't the greatest experience, it wasn't the worst either.   It was one of those show cases where a particular coach is assigned to write up an evaluation of the player.  The coach had some interesting things to say, but, for example, obviously didn't see all my son's AB's.  The kid smashed a double in the gap, which wasn't mentioned at all in the write up.   There was also lots of time standing around, as I recall, but that was a while ago and, frankly, these things run together after awhile.   Again, it wasn't the worst showcase event that we attended.  (That honor would be reserved for the Next Level camp we attended.)  I know we weren't impressed enough with Trosky to do a lot more of there events -- there are tons of them.

A contact that lead to a longish courtship with a D1 that ultimately came to naught did come out of that. A  RC  from west coast D1 wrote to us afterward to invite us to their  camp, claiming to have seen son at the Trosky event.   We followed up with said coach, who admitted that they weren't actually recruiting the kid at that time, but did like some of the things they saw and wanted to "follow" him.   The  kid later went to a camp there, performed very well,  and that seemed to get him on their radar screen in a serious way. Follow ups with HS coach resulted and also D1 coming to observe the kid play.   So the Trosky camp did lead to something -- though not an offer, ultimately.
