Since we both have proven to be bad luck when watching the other team play, what do you say we meet at Plano Tavern and enjoy a 29.8 degree beverage and listen to it on the radio?

Sounds good to me --- you watch your team and I'll watch mine. If you're stopping by the tavern, let me know the time and I may drop in as I fly by on the tollway. I'm glad this rivalry is low-key -- it's the Wolves and Allen everyone loves to hate these days. (no offense kirk or Mr Y)

The Martin vs Bowie game was cancelled due to no umpires. We will try again tomorrow to play if the blues show up. I believe this will be Heath Stuckey's first start for Bowie this year and Shane Griffin will go for Martin.

I am proud to announce that McKinney Christian Academy posted their first ever win in varsity baseball tonight by beating Arlington Burton Academy 22-2. Freshman Michael Nichols picked up the win for the Mustangs. He gave up 1 hit and struck out 12.

Needless to say the kids are walking 10 feet off the ground. I'm really proud of them and their hard work is starting to pay off.

We played at Sam so they marked a hit on a pop up that our pitcher dropped to break up a no hitter but it truly was a no hitter.

East won 15-4 but Plano had ALOT of errors. Also, if you went to that game then you would of seen one of the dirtiest plays I've seen. East fans... yall need to get that straighten out. COMPLETELY uncalled for.

Congrats to East on the win. They were hitting the ball well.

I only saw the very tail end of the play you are referencing, but there were enough accounts of it in the crowd right after it happened to know it wasn't a fluke. Wow.

Bo Altobelli went to the hospital after the game and his left arm is broken because of that unnecessary swing. He is out for atleast 4 weeks.

So it IS broken. Man, that really, really sucks. He's broken that limb(not sure if it was arm, wrist or hand) once before.

I'll have to let East or someone else who saw the entire play describe it since I just saw the back end. This one is gonna be talked about for a while.

Well both teams were talkin to eachother the whole game and well the catcher and the hitter got into a small discussion at the plate and the hitter took a terrible swing and purposly hit the kids arm. that is the short and simple version... It was bad.

Unbelievable is the only word to describe tonight’s Plano game.
P-dad son III pitched a very good game, and East hit the ball hard and often.

After playing one of the best hs games I have ever seen on Friday, Plano definitely played the worst I have seen tonight. Unfortunately T-ball’s son was in the thick of the mess! Coach Robertson deserves much better than he got tonight from my son and the group! I reminded junior what I saw Panther dad write a week ago. Baseball players need to have short memories. Real short.

As far as Bo goes, (I can not comment on the circumstance tonight because any words that I write would embarrass my son, his team and coach). Plano lost one of the most passionate, good, hard playing, baseball players in these parts tonight. He is a true leader on the team. He is one of the few players that when you see them, you know they have it in their heart all the way through. I certainly hope that the Plano players will rally and use tonight to light a fire under the team and make something positive out of a travesty.

Woodruff actually threw pretty well. He gave up two hard hit balls, the rest were pop ups, weak grounders and bunts.

Not the first time I've heard of some chit chat coming from that end of the baseball field.

I am so sorry to hear that Bo was injured...he is one of the finest players around and he is a real student of the game. I don't know the particulars at all but I can say that Bo is a quality young man. Hope he bounces back quickly.
