I love reading this site so therefore I will contribute to this topic.......here are the rules for district 8-5a....and how this crazy scenario will turn out.....the district rule is that if all 3 teams win on Friday....then there is to be a 3 team tourney....since Lewisville has beaten Flower Mound twice and the other games were splits between the 3 teams ......Lewisville gets the bye.......F.M. and Marcus will play a game on Sat. to decide who makes it.....the loser is out ....and the other should play Lewisville for 2nd place.....but the teams will flip a coin to decide the seedings to decide the who goes as 2nd place and who goes as 3rd place ( to save arms for the following week in Bi-district)......but should one team lose and the others win....then obviously the loser is out......pretty interesting huh?

Lewisville is in prime position to earn a playoff berth in District 8-5A after completing its sweep of Flower Mound.

Lewisville, Flower Mound and Flower Mound Marcus are in a three-way tie for second place. Lewisville is the only one that can clinch a playoff berth Friday night.

Lewisville, which plays Plano West in the regular-season finale, would win the tiebreaker with its 3-1 record against Flower Mound and Marcus.

If all three teams win Friday, Flower Mound and Marcus would play for the final playoff berth at a time and site to be determined.

Lewisville had lost eight consecutive games against Flower Mound before this season.

But junior right-hander Josh Choate held Flower Mound to one run in both of this season's meetings.

Looks like Blake pitched a one hitter. Kid is a stud.

He struck out 15. The one gun that was there got him at 94 in the last inning. And he seems to be learning that being less flamboyant can be a good thing.

Well I must comment that Blake has never been flamboyant and was caught up in the moment during the SGP game. 400 fans and the HS Sports Extra guy were amazed at what happened. He does realize he is under the radar & microscope.

During our baseball time with Blake, we never saw anything but class come out of him. He was a great role model for young collikar!

Way to go, Blake! Keep up the great work!
