Keller-Boswell game moved to 4:00pm start

Mesquite Poteet plays Mesquite Horn at Copeland at 6:30 and Mesquite plays West Mesquite at 7 at tillery

Arlington HS at Mansfield 7:00pm. Walden is the scheduled starter for the Tigers. We had at least a dozen MLB scouts at his start last week. Never saw so many radar guns at one time!! Any HSBW'ers attending need to stop in the press box & say Hi - I'll be announcing.

Mansfield Dad, how's Chad Comer doing so far?

KD - Chad started at catcher in the Tigers only game so far. He doubled & walked in three AB's. He looked OK behind the plate, lot's of pressure on him having to handle Walden & Cohoon & Co.

Chad's a great kid with lots of talent. We here in the KD house wish his the best this year!

PD Jr's son got the win last night in Plano East's game against Rowlett.

What's up with Rowlett.Have they even won a game this year.Are they not the team that is loaded with all the select league talent?

I don't think I would worry too much about Rowlett at this point. Some teams take some time early to jell, while others come out of the gate with chemistry in tack. Lots of teams are still tinkering at this point in the season.

Thanks OBN -- PantherSon pitched a good game, I'm proud of him.

Rowlett has good hitters throughout the lineup -- their starting catcher has been injured but his replacement is a good back stop. The Eagles will be fine when it all comes together.

Does anyone have a report on the Mansfield/Arlington game -- no line score in the news -- wondering when Walden might throw this weekend.

KD -- how did Fleece look on the hill?

Both Walden and Cohoon threw last night, 10 plus scouts again, and again his fastball was 97 mph. He also hit a opposite field bomb. Mansfield won 11-1 combined pitching effort for Mansfield gave up 2 hits.

Don't mean to still KD's thunder but since I'm on a 'working lunch' right now I thought I'd let you know that Fleece didn't pitch. I heard that he tweaked his arm a little bit lifting on Monday so Booker opted not to throw him - a wise move. He was the DH (3 hole) and had a dinger to LF. He's an imposing young man for sure. Would have loved to see him throw.

I'm sure KD can offer more insight. BTW, KD son is tearing it up at the lead-off spot for Keller!

Oh well, back to work so I can head to Georgetown tomorrow.

Fleece apparently hurt his arm in the weight room and didn't pitch.

He did hit a monster home run though.

And to get a box score of the Mansfield game, you have to get a good paper, the Startlegram

Walden pitched 4 gave up 1 run, Cohood pitched an inning and gave up no runs.

Dang, I started that last post about an hour ago, and then the phone rang and I finished it up before looking to see if anybody else posted. Dang work getting in the way of baseball again.

But, I can't complain too much, leaving tomorrow right after lunch for three days of baseball in Georgetown/Belton.

Thanks for the kind words.....but YOUR son made the box score with the triple yesterday!!! Lots of speed in the first three spots for Keller these days, should be a fun year. See you tomorrow.

Weather permitting, will finally get to see my son's team in action tomorrow. Thanks to untimely rain, they haven't played in nearly three weeks.

Texan I am with you, it has been since Feb 11th since we last saw game action of any type. The boys will either come out and tear it up from pent up frustration or they will spend the better part of a game knocking the rust off. Where are guys playing this week/weekend?
