Rock Dad, loved watching Swagerty last night. Good luck to him and his parents next week. Reminded me several years back when he was a Junior throwing to Rupp at PCA. Team also had Patterson and Hunter Hill. Loved watching that team.
Another local product (there are many) that deserves a congrats is Zach Neal, former FM Jag and dominating pitcher in high school and at Howard College as well. Neal was the sometimes ace and Friday night starter for the Oklahoma Sooners and should see his time on the mound at the College World Series. Congrats!
And don't forget Trent Appleby at TCU played on the Mckinney Marshal's team and I believe in McKinney but not sure which HS.
Trent played for McKinney North. He and Michael Bolsinger (now at Arkansas) were the top pitchers on a great club with some outstanding athletes, coached by Brandon Milam (now at McKinney Boyd).
In the playoffs his senior year they played Highland Park, and got beat in the first game by Clayton Kershaw -- but came back to win the next two, going on to compete at the state level.
