We had a play in our regional playoff game. Runners on 1b, 3b, 1 out. Grounder to the pitcher, guy on 3rd gets into a rundown. The guy from 1st gets to 3rd, and the batter gets to 2b. Both runners were standing on 3b, and the catcher tagged them both. Instead of calling one out, they called both out. We should've had 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs and our 2 hitter up, but instead we were out of the inning.

I know you can't base anything on this, but the next inning our 3 hitter led off with a HR. If the right call was made, it would've been a 3 run HR. We lost by 1

You got screwed! With both runners on 3B, the runner from first should have been called out when tagged. When in a rundown like you explained you want your base runners to exactly as you described. The umps were idiots. There is a lot of that going around.
