I posted this in the Virginia forum a week ago and got no feed back so I thought I'd try here.....

Everyone seems to be on Twitter these days. Can anyone recommend good people or businesses to follow?

Here are 3 that I'll recommend.

@collbaseball (www.collegebaseballinsider.com ....everything college baseball run by a local Richmond, Va good guy)
@Buster_ESPN (Buster Olney, ESPN baseball guru)
@TheExtraGear (local Richmond, Va sports psychologist, PH.D, great mental tips for athlete's or anyone)

FYI, most every team (college and pro) Tweets. Cool way to get behind the scenes info, scores, news, etc.

So, if you follow someone or something thats enjoyable to read 140 characters of, please share.

Aside from the knuckleheads who tweet silly things (e.g. movie stars for example), I absolutely love Twitter. Better than any other application out there.

I rotate my "follows" from season to season. Right now, I've got a lot of college football things I follow. I'll rotate back to baseball stuff in the Spring.

Don't "Google" too much any more. Just get the articles I'm interested in right off Twitter. But how do they make any $$?
You can block them.

* Click on their username
* After arriving at their home page, there is a little person symbol with a pull down menu underneath their name to the right
* Pull down that menu and select the "Block" option

Various forms of that **** will 'follow' you from time to time. Either ignore or just block them, one at a time as they come up. Shouldn't be more than about once every other month or so.

I tweeted for the first time today. I have picked up 25 followers in less than an hour. Don't have any idea if that is good or bad. Lots of our other guys have been doing it for awhile. Mine is @PGJerry

We also started a PG twitter a couple months ago. If anyone is interested you're welcome to follow. It is @PerfectGameUSA

I think many would enjoy the PerfectGameUSA twitter. It's really interesting, to me anyway.
