We, the coaches are proud to announce that the U13 Tidewater Drillers in VA took 5th place in the AAU national tournament.

We played many excellent teams and we congratulate the NE Lightening for their No. 1 champions.

This was a fun tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC. Our players worked hard, learned lessons and had great fun. That's what this is all about.

FieldBuilder,
Congratulations to the Drillers for the strong showing at Nationals. Great Organization with strong teams.

We (Performance Baseball/12U) will make the trip next year; would like to hear more on your experience with recommendations!

We finished 2nd in Burnsville. Lost 2-0 against the Greensville Gators even though we outhit the defending National Champions 8-4. One inning we had bases loaded with no outs and our 3-4 hitters up and did not score; pop up to pitcher & liner back to pitcher (doubled off runner on 3rd).
Questionable call by the Coach; we had our #2,5,6, and 7 pitchers available with 6 innings each reamaining; he went with his son at #7.
Gave up the 2 runs in first on 4 walks and 2 hits but settled down and pitched 3 shutout innings. #2 (Kyle) pitched the last 2 allowing 0 runs and 0 hits with no walks and 4 K's. We still should of scored at least 3 runs (averaging 11 per game on the season), but that's baseball.

Gearing up to play in Cooperstown and the end of the month. Should be interesting with those short fences.
