UC Riverside

I've heard good things about them. They do tend to develop pitchers as they usually aren't able to get the mid 90s types.

Well After doing my due diligence, and looking/speaking with over 50 colleges and universities. (including Ivy's all the way to Hawaii). We are happy that I'mjustaSon committed to UC Riverside.
Coach Smith made it clear that he plays to win....Best players play...zero tolerance for Drugs,Alcohol, and or embarrassing the program..and put his money where his mouth was....I'mjustaSon spoke with players on the team and all spoke highly and echoed Coach Smith.
So add that up and were looking forward to 2012.....only after a fun filled 2011 super senior season......ps I've been lurking here for a couple years...Just recently joined to post...

Really a good man. As a HC he's commited to the program and is not looking to move. The program is also well pretty well funded 5m+ by private donors, which was a concern when the boy was a 2011 recruit.

imjustadad, Congrats to you and your son. It is no easy task to get to a UCR committment.

Congrats to your son, UCR is a very good program. My son and I attended a number of their games last season. I'm sure your son is going to enjoy playing there!

ps: i'm a lurker too. Just about all my questions have been answered in previous threads. I guess my son's situation isn't unique at all...although sometimes it seems that way!
