Unfortunately, we never had the opportunity to meet Coach Hibbs. However, when my son was a rising senior in high school, Coach Hall had just come on board and, because of that, came into our picture late in the recruiting scene. Nevertheless, we did have the opportunity to meet and talk with him; and all of us were favorably impressed by him.
Based upon our limited knowledge of Coach Hall and Coach Hibbs' reputation, I think the descriptor you chose ("standup") is probably a good one.

I don't know the coaching staff personally, but Coach Hibbs has a great reputation in this area. I attend a few games a year. It is a nice,growing campus with good baseball facilities. The baseball stadium will now be in the shadow of the new football stadium, as they will be playing football next year. Although they had a down year this past year, they have been very successful in the A-10. They will be moving to Conference USA for the 2014 season.
