while pitching yesterday my arm began hurting very badly, it wasnt my shoulder or my elbow, although the outside of my elbow hurt a little, but the severe pain was inbetween the shoulder and elbow, it felt like the actual humorous bone was gonna snap in half, idk if its a muscle or what, ive had a cortisone shot in my elbow over a year ago, i am 17 and throw in mid 80's, any idea of what this could be? im going to the doctor tomorrow but any advice would be appreciated. i have good mechanics, but i felt that the mound i was on was preventing me from striding as far as i normally do so perhaps by taking a shorter stride i put more stress on my arm.

It is possible to break your arm from throwing.

You could have a stress fracture.
I had something similar, but it derived from a growth plate injury in my shoulder,
Something about it pinching nerves or something to that effect.
It felt like a shot of pain was sent down my entire arm every time I would try to throw something.

I went to P.t. and after about 6 months I was good to go, but most of the injury came from the growth plate.

see what the doc says.
