John Conway in Ft. Worth is outstanding. We have first hand experience with him and know many others who have as well. Never had a bad reference on him...have had dozens of postives.

We visited with Meister too. Agree with Maverick...he's very good. Not sure you would go wrong with either one. It's just a matter of who you are most comfortable with.
Sorry for the late reply. Just saw the post.

First of all, I am sorry for your son's injury. I know how difficult this can be....

We have seen both Conway and Meister and had Andrews do the Tommy John for my son. He is the very best for the surgery, but you do have to travel... But if you use him, you will never have to second guess your decision....

Conway's office is terrible at communicating and that is tough when you have to WAIT for MRI results and the like.

Meister worked with Dr Andrews in Birmingham for many years, is the Texas Rangers doctor and is a great local option. He is doing our follow ups.

Be certain to get a second opinion. This is a long process and you dont want to go through it unless it is absolutely necessary...

Hope this helps.... and best of luck to you and your son....

My experience with Conway was much different. We had an early afternoon appointment, we saw the doctor within an hour and he arranged for my son to get an MRI at next door Harris Methodist that same day. The only wait was Harris Methodist slipping us in to get the MRI and checking insurance. Dr. Conway told us to be back in his office at 6 PM and he would go over the results after making his rounds at the two hospitals he is associated with. He met us at the appointed time and pulled up the MRI that was sent electronically directly from the hospital and onto his computer screen. After studying the results he sat for the next hour explaining the results and the options we had. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor experience. Good luck with your son's appointment.
Panther proud - I did not mean to imply that we had a negative experience but we DID have a very long wait for the MRI results. Dr. Conway wanted a specific type of MRI that involved an injection to be performed by a specific doctor at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. The results were transported to his office fairly quickly but due to his surgery and office schedule as well as a long holiday weekend he was not able to get back with us very quickly. I would go to him again in a heartbeat but it was an agonizing few weeks waiting for the final results.

We had the exact same experience with the same proceedure at Presby. But, the delay was at the hospital, not at Conway's office. Conway's office if very busy because he's so good. But I couldn't ask for a doctor to have better bed side manner. He's terrific at explaining all the what's/why's/options/what he would dos to his patients.

Easy diagnosis on CT... too much texting... lmao... Hope to see you guys tonight..
Dr Conway was excellent during the consult. Our problem was getting anyone to call us back. This wasnt a one time deal either. We have delt with them a few times with both of my boys. It's just hard to wait so long when such a big issue is at hand...

I know Dr Conway's office is busy because they are good, but Dr Meister and Dr Andrews are pretty good too and there offices didnt seem to have a problem getting back in contact with us in a reasonable time...

At the end of the day, they are all good doctors and we are fortunate to have such good options available to us.
