Official At-bats that a batter has. For example:
If you throw 5 innings, you record 15 outs.
You gave up 3 hits, that adds up to 18 ABs.
There was 1 error recorded, that adds up to 19.

That means that your opponents have had 19 ABs against you. However, you could have walked people or had HBPs. Those count as plate appearances, but not ABs. The stat being added to the line is in order to calculate the opponent's BA against you.
