Happened last night in my son's game. Runners on first and third, full count on batter.

Runner on first takes off on the pitch, strike three.

The called play for the 1st & 3rd situation was a throw down, with the SS cutting it off and throwing home if the runner on third took off. But on the throw, the batter interfered - so runner is out.

Catcher does get the throw off, and runner on third comes home - SS cuts it off, throws home - out #3.

Quite a way to get out of a jam!

That is different.

My son was involved in a weird thriple play. He was playing 1st and that is rare in itself. Bases were loaded and a dibbler hit a few feet off the plate. Catcher grabs it toucnes home for force. He throws down to 1st hitting the runner. My son saw it would hit the guy and moved toward where he thought the ball would go. He gothere early and threw out the guy who was at 2nd comming home and then the catcher threw out the guy he hit going to 2nd. It happened so fast we were stunned for a moment.

Those are great, I saw my second one this year as a coach (this time it was good because we were in field)
Bases loaded, liner to first; 1b makes nice lunging catch, while on ground rolls over and touches first with bare hand just before the runner gets back (2nd out)... then looks at home and throws it to home, it's a bang bang play but they call him safe. I'm thinking to myself, no way that kid tagged up and still made it to home that quickly: so we appeal that the runner never re-touched, and bang the ump calls him out (triple play).
