My 2014 has interest in Univ of Dayton ( i love that idea since it is 10 miles from my house and I could watch him play- ha!- just being selfish

. Can anyone tell me about it as far as baseball? I know it is a wonderful school, but expensive

They have a nice camp in the Fall. they get quite a few DII, DIII, and NAIA area coaches to help out. Sinclair CC is also usually at the camp.

Son had quite a few contacts after the camp. none made his final list though.

Thanks, he is signed up for that one. At a PBR showcase right now in Chillicothe. He is, also, doing the buckeye scouts one in mid July.

The buckeye Scout is a great experience. Anybody who gets an invite should seriously consider going.

Any chance that he went to Showcase for a cure? It is put on by Walsh Jesuit, usually in June.

Great school academically. Nice Campus, solid academic rep. . Some players from what I understand have been picked up later in draft. Guess it's what you make of your chances.

sorry Bishop, just saw your reply from June.He did not go to the one for cure. Actually didn't even know about that one. Buckeye scout got cancelled due to lack of sign ups.

He is going to some kind of camp in fall at Dayton. Not a lot of money ($100) and gets exposure in front of coaches

That's a shame, I would have liked my '13 to go but it didn't work out that weekend.

My son went to the Buckeye Scout in 11. Great experience. I am sorry to see it go. I tried to bring up their web page after I hear and it no longer exists.

That's a shame, I would have liked my '13 to go but it didn't work out that weekend.

Wapak, same issue. plus honestly, he was pitching/playing a lot at that time. 3 tournaments in 3 consecutive weeks that started on either wednesday or thursday and that was the third one. seemed like a good camp but for cost and timing we decided not for him to attend.
