Not able to give too much info, but I do remember it being a very nice looking, modern campus. Baseball field was new at the time..very nice.

USC-U will always hold a special place for me as son's first college start was there (2nd baseball weekend of 2009) Smile. Weather was nasty..managed to get the Friday afternoon game in..then hung around, waiting for a break that never came. Ended up beating it out of there fast on Sun. morn, driving through ATLANTA in a snowstorm. Eek

Greenville/Spartanburg area fastest growing area on the I-85 corridor...situated halfway in between Atlanta and Charlotte (approx. 1 1/5-2 hours either way). 1 1/2 hours from the mountains. 4-5 hours from the beach. Moderate temps...snow amounts to dustings to 8" which freaks everybody out down here.
The head coach, Matt Fincher, is a character. Also spent a lot of time coaching in the Cape Cod League over the years. The ballpark is pretty new and very nice -- very big, a pitcher's park. Making the move from D2 to D1 hasn't come without some bumps. It's a tough transition. The campus is decent. It's on the outskirts of Spartanburg, a medium-sized city that's also home to Wofford College. Fincher recently lost his top asst., who's now the head coach at D2 Newberry. Overall, it's worth a look.
