My son has been very impressed with UT-Tyler (D3 school in Texas with a new baseball program)and its coaching staff (Coaches James Vilade & Jack Price). The school is small, has great academics, lots of new facilities and good team chemistry. We know there isn't any athletic money, but academic funds are available.

UTT seems like a "good fit" for my son, so I thought I would ask if any of you have experience with the school, the program or the coaches. Since my son is a pitcher, I would really appreciate input on how the coaches develop/handle pitchers.

Thanks.

oldcat...I saw the father of the boy who plays at UT Tyler now...said his son is having a great experience and that he likes his coaches and is getting a lot of work...

of course it's a new program, but his dad said he'd give me his son's cell #...if you're interested...

email me at bkkwriter@aol.com if you want to visit with the player...
