Chris that is great!! Congratulations!! That gives me hope for my son who had TJ surgery this past March. He is an '08 RHP. Right now he is disappointed because he had a D1 school telling him they were going to call him in July. So far, no phone calls. Since he told the coaches (this past April) that he had TJ, he has had no response. I know it is still early. Do you have any suggestions on how to approach this D1 school?? Should he wait or should he email or call the coach again?

I wouldn't expect recruiting interest until he's throwing again ..

tho, if a coach has been in touch, send him an occasional note on the rehab progress, it can't hurt.
Chris, as someone who reads the various postings in this site on various topics, and having a son who just went through the same college search process as you, I found this entire thread enjoyable reading. For all who take the time to read this site thread, particularly the young aspiring college player and his family, the process of finding a school is a wild one. This is one of the great threads I have read which captures the hopes of a young man, the uncertainties, the frustrations, the highs, the lows, the naysayers, the supporters, and the need for dogged effort to reach your goal. For anyone who aspires to play post HS baseball, it is a roller coaster ride, but flexibility, adaption, hard work, all ultimately lead to realized dreams. So, add my name to those who wish you good health, great baseball, and a happy college experience.
