First I wanted to thank you all again for your kind thoughts and words of encouragement.

We just got some good news that got my son again wanting to try for East Cobb baseball in the spring.

The ratings and comments finally came out for the PG Sunshine South showcase. My son was rated a 6 with some very good comments. I called and read him everything and he was thrilled. I again mentioned playing for East Cobb and he sounded very interested in it.

I now think that his being cut from his HS team and not doing as well as he thought he was able at the showcase and tournament really got him down on himself. This information now has him having some hope to be able to play college ball again.

He still doesn't know if he wants to look at schools in TX or GA, but we do have time to think about that and contact the schools.

Again - thank you all for your support. I will be checking the board regularly - talk to you soon.

Great news, Indep. Sometimes it helps just getting things off your chest to help you keep yourself from going crazy! LOL I know there are a few moms who post here who have helped me on and off through all my baseball crises. Good luck with East Cobb. My son is going to try out there for the first time this August. He's so shy and I know it will be a lot of pressure for him. I keep telling him that your whole life's a tryout for one thing or another. You may as well get used to it because one day you'll find that just the tryout experience alone may put you ahead of the game in a college interview or a job interview.
Good luck and maybe we'll run into one another at ECB. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you!
