Ive seen 6/7 Ursinus games over the years.
Coach is a "veteran" in more ways than one.
Bears teams tend to be pitching dominant and always seem to have an unusually high percentage of effective left-handed pitchers.
So, while they rarely blow opponents out, they are in almost every game.
Not much to do in Collegeville, but its only an hour from Philly.

My daughter goes to Ursinus, so if you have any non-baseball questions about the school, feel free to PM me. My son and I also met with the coach there when my son was looking at baseball programs, and were impressed with him as a straight talker who asked good questions of my son and gave good answers to our questions. My daughter's first roommate had a brother who played on the baseball team and enjoyed his time there. If you go to the news section of the Ursinus website, I believe you will be able to find an article that was recently posted regarding the coach.
You might want to try a letter through the mail, especially if your son has a highlight video to send with it. Also fill out the prospective student questionnaire if you did not already. I remember that we heard back from Coach Thomas fairly quickly when we did the above (don't remember if we sent an email first). You'd like to think that a coach would get back quickly in response to an email, but these coaches get zillions of them. Also, Coach Thomas was recently made chief liaison to graduates and friends of the College, and to members of the community, with the title of Ursinus Emissary. This is in addition to his duties as Athletic Director and baseball coach, so with the fall season just wrapping up maybe he may have been a bit busier then usual. I'd try again if you think the school is a good fit.
