A hearty congratulations from here as well. Especially to 3fingeredglove's son (2-0, 0.75 ERA, .429 AVG) who was a key player for this team.

TR - Our 14-year old son was invited and attended trials (2 weeks ago) but did not make the team. A LOT of planning went into getting him ready to potentially miss 2 weeks of school. USA Baseball takes it seriously and our son's HS did too. He worked with his teachers to outline a plan and he actually came back from the trials ahead in his school work.

We've had 2 sons participate in USA teams and trials. They are opportunities of a lifetime...travel to a foreign country, represent the your country and wear "USA" across your chest (not to mention the great 'goodies' they bring home). Forever these boys can watch any USA team (baseball, basketball, hockey, whatever) and remember their own experience with pride.

We as parents fully supported it and our son's school fully supported it (even encouraged it) from each of his teachers through the school's administration. There's no way we would've said no.

Again, congratulations to that team, the coaches and their parents! clapping
