My son was asked to do the usa baseball ntis. Does anyone have any experience with this? Worth it not worth it. Only 8 players are chosen so chances are pretty slim but is it still worth the experience?

Baseballmomx4,
Thanks for the post. This question has been asked many times. Try doing a search for NTIS, Read the results and if you still have questions let us know.
Also since these are run by not USA baseball but separate organizations you may want to include info about which area your son was invited to.

was just discussed a few months ago.............pros & cons, we will attend since it's nearby and has been told to tryout with a good chance of making regional team but Cary NC will cost you and chances of making Natl. Team are slim
baseballmomx4,
Our son tried out at age 14 and was selected for his region. If you don't mind spending the money then go. It was a great experience but with only choosing 8 players we knew chances were slim he would be selected. It was fun and another stepping stone for him if you will in his experiences in the game of baseball.
Thank you all for your responses. Do any of you know the cost of the regionals or Cary? Minus the travel expense. I don't see that listed anywhere.

Remember you have a 3 step process now. Your state tryout is $125.00, then you will have a regional, if your picked to compete. Ours is in St. Louis and I think its 300-400 but it's a 2 day deal so you will have hotel expenses. I heard Cary NC is $2000-$3000 after you pay for Uniforms, room (etc). I would email you regional NTIS to find out or go to the site yourself as see to be safe.
