This is a great event and if a player has an opportunity to participate, DO IT!

There are only 144 players selected to participate and it costs them nothing. MLB pays for their round trip airfare, they stay with a host family, all of their meals are taken care of, and they get a lot of cool gear to keep.

Next summer will be my 3rd year coaching with the AABC team and it is an unbelievable event that I look forward to being a part of each year. If you have any detailed questions, feel free to contact me.
I know a nice young man who has been quoted several times stating that the USATOS was one of the best baseball experiences he has had.

The competition is A1. Many of the participants end up as early round selections and many go on to college and become all americans.

The host family relationships built extend far past the event, especially if the host has baseball kids.

Congratulations on your selection. It means your boy has been identified by his play on the field.
I know another one Slugger that said the same thing. My son had a great time playing in this event and it was filled with tremendous talent. The games were outstanding , extremely competitive. He made some great friends that he still stays in contact with. Many of the guys he played with and against were drafted and the rest are in college programs now. This is one you do not want to pass up if you get the chance. And the US Olympic Complex in Cary , NC is the finest baseball facility for an event like this I have ever been to. Good luck
