USA Junior Olympic Team

I see that North Carolina & Maryland are both forming "Allstar" teams to play in this event. Is anyone awear of such an effort for Tennessee? It sounds like a great idea, with all the talent in this state at the 16 yr old level we would be very competitive. Appreciate any comments.....

Where did you see or hear that NC was forming one?
I know there was initial talk linked to getting players to attend a fall showcase but haven't heard anymore that it would go to fruition.

I know the tryouts were held in Concord NC. I think "Global Baseball" was listed but I thought the Hartsell Baseball association was involved. You can find info about it on a post dated 11/19/03 from a web site that they use in NC called www.thisboardrocks.com Tryouts ran in the Charlotte Paper too.
