USABF World Series 18U

I am trying to learn about this tournament. My 2012 son has been invited to play in the USABF 18u World Series. We are interested in finding out if this is a heavily scouted tournament and finding out the level of competition. We have heard that there will be many pro scouts in attendance. Thanks in advance for any information. It is a long way to San Diego from Virginia and the budget only stretches so far!

My son played in the USABF World Series last year. His travel team was basically a split squad, half the team participated in this tourney, the other half in a Southern California wood bat tournament.

The competition level was decent. I honestly didn't see many scouts at the event. Perhaps there were more at the semi-finals and finals?
