USBA Showcase

I got an e-mail as well as a brochure in the mail about this showcase. I was encouraged by my varsity coach to attend this showcase. Aparently there are suppose to be 40+ college coaches and scouts attending at Elmhurst College. Seems like it will be a well run showcase.

My son went to this showcase last year. Very well run. Catchers will catch fro Approx 4 pitchers. When they get ther the catchers loosen up and then they will get there POP times infron of the scouts. After that the catchers will get the pitchers they will be working with. Pitcher and catcher begin work out throwing in the bullpen and then come out together to throw infront of scouts Lats year there was over 40 Pro and College scouts there. After all the pitchers are through the catchers and whatever pitchers they want to see hit in the cage. (Suggestion, Bring a wood bat to hit in the cage with, The scouts really like to see that, Asked my son if he had a wood bat to hit with after a couple of swings in the cage). very well run camp. Be sure to bring something to drink Catchers do get a workout. Make sure to practice on blocking balls in the dirt.
