Sam Torres will be welcoming 30 kids from Sudan, Africa on Feb. 29
to help them learn the game of baseball. The kids range in age from 1st grade to
6th grade and as you can imagine are without baseball gloves, bats and
other necessary equipment.
The Plano Storm, an 11U Plano Baseball Association team, is
assisting Sam in locating equipment as service project. They will also help
sort and deliver donations to the kids upon their arrival. So if you have an
unused baseball glove lying around they can put it to good use! Also will take
any other gear you may have that's appropriate for 1st-6th grade players such as
batting gloves, bats, baseball pants, bags etc.
