My "good" sources out of Alabama tell me that Jim Wells has agreed to take the job at LSU but the final details of the contract are still being worked out. This will not be made public until after the college world series so that LSU can get the national publicity that they want. On a side note is looks like former Alabama player, Bobby Pierce (Troy University) will be the front runner for the Alabama head coaching position.

Corbin has withdrawn his name.

Anymore word on whether Wells is the guy? I wonder how enamoured the Bama fans are with Wells as he flirts with the LSU program?
