UpstateNY2008,

I am not sure what your goal is, but I think it is to gain weight (muscle weight in particular). A good way to get a sufficient amount of calories and protien I would suggest drinking a Weight Gainer with a sandwich and a piece of fruit.

I would suggest the Serious Mass weight gainer from Optimum Nutrition. It is cheap, it works, and best of all...it tastes awesome!(I recommend the chocolate flavor).

This is only a suggestion... it has worked very well for me!

Hope this helps,

I don't think Serious Mass is the best option. It's VERY high in maltodextrin, and you may end up crapping out whatever you drank. The Velveta is a better option IMO. If we are talking about "weight gain meals", a homemade shake once a day would be good.

Here's what I've used in the past:

16-20 oz of whole milk (most calories, I also use the lactose-free version)

2 scoops of chocolate WPI/Concentrate

A few T B S of organic honey

1 Large banana and assorted berries, I prefer blueberries

A few T B S of natural sugar free PB

Estimated pro/cho/fat:

65g Protein
25g Fat (mostly unsaturated)
100g Carbs (from the fruit)

It also contains good antioxidants and a ton of solid calories, because it's made from whole foods. I guarantee that will get the job done, all while tasting great and saving you money. You can remove the PB/berries and modify it to fit your needs if you like. In my experience, I've needed to get creative...I hate bland repetion.

Perhaps the symbol for tablespoons is also a competing website or an inapropriate abbreviation...lol. T B S= ***

What's wrong with 100% whole wheat bread? You can get used to the taste and I think that it has much more flavor than other breads.

Tim, it's just what I had at the moment, there was no wheat bread in sight and I needed to eat something. I personally like the taste of wheat bread better anyway.
