Hi Everyone-
This is my first post but I've gotten so much helpful info I wanted to ask for some advice. My 2019 son made a "verbal commitment" to a D1 school but with no sports scholarship (so basically as a guaranteed roster spot for fall /spring ) Getting a nice financial aid package instead, we also got a very positive read from the admissions office in advance. I realize this comes with risks and one has to put some trust into the words of the coaches but so far they have been very up front with us and for my son it's the ideal school . He will be applying early decision and here's my big question: should he also apply early action to other schools he was interested in or is it better to just wait and see what happens with the ED and then apply regular decision if the whole thing goes south? Thanks so much for any insight!
