Which one ya got? Pros and cons? My son (college freshman) has a choice between the 06 Dynasty and the 06 Vexxum (trading a text book for a new bat). He's a lead-off/2-hole type hitter, if that helps. Uses the 05 Omaha right now.

Thanks.

I used to be a surgeon, but I got tired of the more aggressive treatment options. I went back to school and now I am a Chiropractor and the clinic director of a multidisciplinary clinic with Chiro, PT, Myofascial release, nutritional consulting and counseling. It has been a huge change but much more fulfilling. I no longer have to tell athletes that their careers are over, I get to tell them that there is hope, as long as they are willing to work for it.
JT – hijack one more time.

In reference to a Certified Athletic Trainer, my son, who is a sophomore in HS is leaning towards sports medicine. I am just curious, can you tell me a little about a Certified Athletic Trainer (education, training, what type of school, etc.). Son is a very bright young man who has already scored high enough on his ACT to receive a full tuition scholarship to any university in Louisiana through the TOPS Scholarship Program. His dream is to play college baseball and I can’t see him doing anything that does not involve athletics after college.
JT,

The Dynasty, as per Lousville Slugger's philosophy on bats, has a stiff (no flex) handle. The general thought is that stiff handle bats are best for power hitters since they generate tons of bat speed (may get too much handle flex with certain bats).

The Vexxum has some flex in the handle which helps some batters. Demarrini also makes the Voodoo which has less flex than the Vexxum.

My son has owned/used both. They are both very good bats. We are currently using the Vexxum - when hit just right, drives will easily go 50-75 feet further with the Vexxum. If your timming is a little off it probably makes no difference anyway...

As a 1 or 2 hole hitter I would normally recommend the Vexxum. In this case I'm not sure since the Omaha is essentially the same design as the Dynasty. He should borrow a Vexxum and try it out in BP.

bbdad2007,
Thanks for that reply, I was wondering the difference in the Vexxum and the Voodoo, as my son wants a DeMarini this year and I was trying to figure out which to get.
