From VISSA Tweet.................DII championship ...Atlantic Shores vs. Greenbrier Christian.....5 pm Monday at ODU.
Great! I'm glad the VISAA was able to work this out. The D1 game is still scheduled for Sheperd Stadium but the drive is a bit easier for the two Richmond Schools compared to the Chesapeake Schools.

That's great!! Bring your checkbook Vals!!!
Game time has been changed to 4:30
Just saw on Shores' facebook page that tonight's Shores - GCA game has been rescheduled to Wed at 6:00 at Norfolk State.
Thanks for posting that info....I heard that Vals conviently left his checkbook at home today. I'll remind him to bring it on Wednesday!
I see that St. Chris beat Trinity Episcopal 8-3 in the D1 game yesterday...congrats!
Atlantic Shores won the VISAA DII State Championship tonight at Norfolk State with an 11 - 6 win over Greenbrier Christian. Shores ended the season with a 33 - 2 record and as the top ranked team in Hampton Roads. Norfolk State was an outstanding host. Not sure of the attendance, but it was standing room only.

Congratulations to AS players and Coach Agreste; great game to watch! The Pilot listed attendance at 900. Think there may have been a few more than that. VISSA made a great decision to move the game to the local area.
Tip of the hat to GCA Head Coach Gary Lavelle on what I understand may have been his last game at the helm.
Oh by the way, anyone know if Vals ever stroked that check to VISSA?
So who are the favorites for state titles next year??
Congrats to AS on a great season.
Any info yet on VISSA POYs and All State Teams?

gww, vavals --
Congrats on a great year. Really enjoyed getting a chance to watch AS in the quarters (even though we lost). Hope we cross paths this summer.
I'd like to recognize Coach Clark and Norfolk State for the exceptional job they did last night hosting the Shores - GCA game. I was impressed from the time I drove on the campus, with security at each corner to provide directions to the field. Then the friendly smiles and welcomes from the NSU staff working at the field. Coach Clark was still on the field working to close everything down when I left at close to 10. Thank you Norfolk State for a great evening of baseball!
