Bluezebra, your help here would be appreciated.

Coach visits the pitcher in the 3rd inning.

Coach visits the pitcher again in the third inning, this time the coach removes the pitcher.

Coach visits the relief pitcher again in the 3rd inning, but does not remove him.

I thought the coach had to remove the pitcher at that time, but he ump said he did not. Was I wrong?

High School Rules:

The defence may be granted not more than 3 charged conferences in 7 innings. A charged confernece is not counted when the pitcher is removed.

Based upon your example, THE UMP WAS RIGHT.
