The creator of the HSBBW (Bob Howdeshell) has a son Andy that played at Vol State for two years 2001-02 I think. At that time they were ranked #1 in the nation. Andy went on to play D-1 baseball at ETSU. My son had some teammates that played at Vol State around 03-04 and all spoke highly of the program at that time. My info is old so hopefully someone can give you some current information.

Thanks for any info. Coach has told son that they will be contacting him with an offer this week. He's been told that DI school has asked them to work with him on specific areas for down the road. I'm a little nervous about sending an 18 year old to another city to live in apartment atmosphere rather than dorm but that's probably just a worried mom.
JMO, but they have a young coaching staff that is getting better each day. The facilities are above average and the school is working to make them better. I have been told that the academics are very strong in the math, science and english departments and student/athletes that do well in the classroom are able to transfer to most all four year schools due to the schools strong academic reputation. I spoke with a players father and he said that the players that have signed for next year are very strong and if two of their commitments don't go D1 they will be in a position to make another run at the World Series. Former Tennessee coach Rod Delmonico is sending one of his sons to Vol State next season.
