You might try Volleyballers Anonymous...I hear they have a great Twelve Set program.

Seriously...I don't know of one. We have two daughters who play volleyball on the off-season. I'll check in here as well if a site is found.

Anyone? Volleyball website? Empty bag of David's to the first to enlighten us.

By the way mikamom...welcome to the HSBBW...where perhaps your volleyball questions just might be answered!

So glad you inquired. Just returned yesterday from New York to see my daughter play in a spring tournament with her Columbia University volleyball team at Hofstra University. She played 6 matches in one day...some 3 game and some 2 game matches. They won two matches, split 2, and lost 2. This was the first time I'd seen her play in 2 years and it was very emotional for my wife and I. She and the team were outstanding considering this is Coach Wilson's first year at Columbia. We later met with two new recruit families to whom I gloated about Columbia, from where my first daughter graduated in 2006, as well. My daughter is probably the shortest outside hitter in DI volleyball at 5'6". She loves her teammates and the coaches and is looking forward to a successful fall season. Coach Wilson was the former head coach at Duke University for 14 years during which he won several conference championships. We are hoping to be as successful in the Ivy League.

There are not many volleyball forums. I'll check out the one referenced here. Send me a pm if you have any questions about volleyball, etc.
Thank you everyone for the information. I would guess that the timeline, marketing, letters, camps, etc are all similar to baseball. Louisiana Lightning - congratulations on having a collegiate player. The number of girls that get to go on and play is so small.
My daughter's 14 year old team is trying to qualify for the JO's in Texas. We came in 5th at the NCVA President's Day Tournament, 17th at Denver Crossroads, and 5th last weekend at the LA SCVA tournament. They play again next weekend at Reno, so we see! She is signed up for one college camp this summer. THere is no PG equivalent that I know of!
I will be PMing you I am sure as we move along! (First we have to find a home for my 08 catcher!)
Thanks!!!
