Royal has been strong offensively but a bit suspect as far as pitching depth. Any team with good pitching has a shot against anyone.
Moorpark, who will be facing San Clemente has decent pitching even after losing their ace to injury but their hitting is suspect.
Agoura lost to a very strong Hart team in the first round. My guess is that Hart had some injuries that kept them from doing better in league.

FutureBackMom: It was a great game if you were wearing Cardinal, 13-1. Esperanza's pitching did a great job of shutting down a very good physical Norco Cougar team. The first baseman for Norco is 6'4" 220LBS.
I spoke with Mike after the game and he was very please to get such a strong pitching performance out of his guys. Norco pitchers suffered from elevated fastballs and off speed pitches that did not hit their spots. Part of the game. It was OK for me as I know kids and coaches from both teams. Games like this are hard for me, I want to see them both advance.
Well the Aztec's have El Dorado next. El Dorado defeated Santa Margarita 6-4 yesterday. Nothing like a boarder fight.

The Esperanza/El Dorado relationship is one of love/hate I believe. They pair up for the National Classic each year and then look forward to beating each other on the field. It will be interesting.
I was pretty impressed with the offense from Esperanza ... 4 multiple RBI home runs were definitely something to write home about.
