Anyone know what's going on there? They just fired the coach after a good season.
Aside from that, anyone have any info about the program and facilities?

Swamp boy....this is what I stumbled across.....my 2017 is considering Wash U.....
Wow, there must be much more going on behind the scenes with that story. Based on the numbers, the coach was accomplishing all of the AD's stated goals.
That's what I was thinking, too.
Curious if anyone ever found out the rest of the story on coaching change at WashU?
Go over to D3baseball.com and look around their boards. I remember reading some stuff about the change, but don't remember any particulars about it.
I second BOF's suggestion. Wash U. Brought in a new AD andbthat prompted a change. I am not close to the program, nso I cannot say more.
Wash U is a member of the UAA, so I would startr 8n that board.

If I was being recruited by Wash U. I would not let this effect my decision. If you gave the grades to get into and are accepted consider yourself lucky. Not many get in.
From the perspective of an alum who follows Wash U sports only sporadically, it appears that the school is putting its considerable resources behind the effort to achieve across-the-board athletic excellence on par with the school's academic reputation. Wash U teams have won D3 national championships in five different sports within the past decade, several other sports have contended, and they want the same for baseball.
Unless someone knows otherwise, I'm inclined to accept the official version of events: they want to get to the promised land, they are investing in facilities and other program improvements, and--despite Steve Duncan's successful run--they thought a leadership change would help attain the elite status they aspire to.
Far different approach to sports than when I attended.
And it snot like the coach they brought in is smuck or incompetent. He did very well in the WIAC at UWSP.
Anyone know where Duncan ended up?
