I am not a graduate, but Washington and Lee's academics are very hard to beat. It's reputation is outstanding. A degree from W&L often means easy acceptance into a top graduate school, and an easy time in the job market. The school is beautiful.
Socially, I don't know. I've read it's a heavy frat school. It is small and borders VMI. Lexington is a picturesque town.
I know nothing about it's baseball program. However, my guess would be that it's not very good considering their admissions standards are so high.

Great school,great financial aid, and Coach "Stick" is a class guy. W&L was one of the 2 schools my son shortened his list to, he decided to attend Hamilton College but W&L would of been a great choice either way.Best of luck!
Also keep in mind that the coach can not offer any help with being admitted.
