I am very familiar with the program. Beautiful, but small campus, terrific D3 baseball field with enthusiastic student body in attendance at games. Last season was the most successful in their history and I believe the program is going to continue improving. My son was recruited there, unfortunately it was not a good Academic fit for him. I suggest you contact the new Head Coach Travis Turgeon he is young, extremely approachable, helpful and player oriented. Contact him and let him know what tournaments your son is playing in and he will come see him and speak to him personally. My son spent a great deal of time with Coach Turgeon and he was the main reason we were interested in the school.
It was a difficult decision for my son, but ultimately Washington did not offer the major he was interested in and it just wasn't a good academic fit. Good Luck
Twp words, Travis Turgeon. This kid made himself into a fine college player and was relentless in his pursuit of a position on the Baltimore Redbirds team from the Cal Ripken Collegiate League going into his senior year, four years ago. As the team's only D3 player, he finished the season with the best ERA on a team that advanced to the championship game. He was integral in their success and was a great teammate on and off the field. I am proud to say my son was a teammate of Coach Turgeon.

My son had some interest from Coach Reynolds, but ultimately Coach gave him a very honest assessment of his chances of making team. Coach Reynolds went to Georgia Perfect Game and was at HeadFirst. He is a pretty aggressive recruiter. Very small school in remote area I think but solid academically. I am sure he will be successful there as a coach.
