Ever watch any of these games? I do every once in a while. I love 'em!

Even though I remember some of these games from my younger days...as I watch them now I am struck by the changes in all aspects of the game. From the fans to the umpires to the players.

I am reminded that I love "real" stirrups! Smile No names on the backs of the uniforms. And I am happy that today we don't all wear ties and jackets to the games in the hot sun. Big Grin

Strike zones seem wider. Hitters step in the bucket far more than today...and lunge at pitches more too. Pitchers go inside more with funkier windups. They balk a lot more too. No radar gun readings, announcers occasionally "guess" at the speed. And pitchers were better hitters...more of a clue at the plate.

One thing I completely forgot about...watching a 1965 World Series game today...following a groundout, the first baseman's first throw around the infield is back to the catcher for hustling down the line to back up.

Catch a game if you can. Lots of fun.
