What is your favorite saying?

This could be a poem, a musical lyric, a quote by a famous individual, or one that you have made up on your own.

Here is one that I have always admired:

"The harder you work, the luckier your get"

My #1 was taken, "lose when you chose not to get up." My #2 is ... "You will fail at 100% of the attempts you don't make."

Being a sc rappy (can't believe the board's auto monitor sometimes ... s******) player my favorite poster of all time showed an animal half swallowed by a snake. The animal had the snake by the throat yelling, "Give up yet?"

My husband often told my son as he was headed out the door to play ball:

"Keep your stick on the ice!"

Wink Son was also a hockey player.

Sometimes he offered a little more useful advice (before a ball game):

"See the ball, hit the ball."

(There's a lot of truth in that simple line ... I think some of the most successful hitters at the highest levels, including Joe Mauer, are those who really "see" pitches.)
