Hey there college baseball fans, here is a trick I thought I would share with others here.
Bsbl247 and I were trading some PM’s regarding college baseball schedules and I was showing him how to find out about schedules and rosters before they are made public and thought this might be of interest to some other here.
Here is how it works. In the fall most programs are developing their schedules and rosters and these are not made public until they have the approval of the coaches, AD, administration and their conference. There is a little secret that I found that allows you to see a schedule or a roster before they are released publically. What most programs do is load them up on their web page but don’t expose a link to them so unless you know the URL you won’t be able to “see” this page.
So what you can do is when you get to a web page you change the dates and many times you will see the schedule or roster as it is in development.
I will use UCSB as an example.
Their schedule for this year is not public yet. When you go to their site you will see this web page.

Now if you want to see what their schedule is for this year you simply change the dates from 2011-2012 to 2012-2013 and hit “enter”….magically you will get their unpublished schedule.

Not all programs do this but this has allowed me to find out a programs schedule in advance as well as the names of incoming players that have not been publically acknowledged by a program. If you check back from day to day you can see a roster develop. Sometimes this works sometimes it does not, and I have found that it also works with conferences so many times a conference will have a schedule done in advance of the individual schools. For us travelling parents it makes it easier in getting cheaper tickets and hotels etc. For helicopter parents it lets you get an advance peak into a roster.
Try it, you will be surprised how many programs do this.
Happy Thanksgiving!
