This should be a change of pace. What are some weaker programs, whether it be due to lack of students, simply less talent, etc., in each division?

The softball program only has twelve players (college softball normally has at least twenty/don't need deep pitching staffs like baseball). None on the roster are pitchers. The softball team is 0- 62 over the past two seasons.quote:Originally posted by quillgirl:quote:They have eight on their roster. None are pitchers.
Oh, wow. Guess everyone plays, huh? And hasn't every kid in college ball pitched at one time or another? Time to warm up the arms and enlist someone from girls softball to play..

Ranger12, are you looking for a place to play?
They play in a mid level D1 and get beat by the weak teams in their conference by ten runs. No major would want to waste their time playing them.quote:Originally posted by 06catcherdad:
Why does Coppin State even offer these sports? If what is said here is true, it makes no sense for them to even field teams in baseball or softball, and it also makes absolutely no sense for any other team to schedule them. Talk about huring your RPI!
