The MSL got off to a great start yesterday as the 6 teams battled to 3 very good games.
On field 10, it appears that the Orioles may have beaten the Marlins by 2 runs (NOT THAT IT REALLY MATTERS). Pitchers of the game as voted by the college coach manning each field was Zak Adams of Flower Mound and Randy Mann of McKinney Boyd. The 2 hitters of the game were Ronnie Mitchell of Southlake and Blake Chambless of Henderson HS.
On field 8, the swingin A's played the Pirates and no one seems to know what the score was. Pitchers of the game were Josh Easley of WHS and Logan Brunkenhoefer of FMHS. The hitters of the game were Brett Doe of Poteet and Kris Gardner of PCA.
On field 7, the Royals and the Reds played to another close game. Pitchers of the game were Preston Beck and Jake Johanssen. The hitters of the game were John M. Twichell and Brett Pirtle.
The Metro Scout League passed out 8 Scout Books to the following professional organizations: Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Yankees, Oakland A's, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers, Atlanta Braves, and one member of the MLB Scouting Bureau.
The following 8 colleges were represented: Austin College, Brookhaven College, Paris JC, McLennan College, Richland College, Navarro College, Grayson College, and Ranger College.
