Uncle Ethan I got out there about 3:30 and things seem to be going well. There were several pro scouts and faces that were not parents. The players played really well on defense and there were very few errors; a few big hits but as you know the wood is the equalizer. The last game was shorten due to cloud cover after 11 innings. It will all egual out since the times are being rotated. I give it a very good Grade, cudos to Sam, Shayne and Cade for making this a reality.

Here is the wood bat update: Not that I was counting but here it is.

Broken Bats:

DBAT's 3 bats broke

LS 2 bats broke

Easton 3 bats broke

Mizuno 1 bat broke

Sam Bat 1 bat broke

Morningwood 1 bat broke

Bullet bat 1 bat broke

Boner bat 1 bat broke.

Total of 13 bats broken in 38 1/2 innings. The second game was responsible for 6 of the 13. This is not very good, but each week you will see this number go down. A study was done over 10 summer college leagues and they average 12.4 dozen bats in a 45 game season.

Here is the update. Keep all of you posted each week. I have all the handles if anyone is building any tables or chairs.
